The easiest, best warm chocolate banana galette. Friday requires this special dessert. A hint of cinnamon, warm chocolate, caramelised bananas, and sweet honey provide a particular touch to buttery flaky puff pastry.
Ingredient
– 1 sheet frozen puff pasty, thawed– 3 tablespoons salted butter, melted– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon– 7-8 ounces high quality semi-sweet or milk chocolate, roughly chopped– 4 medium size ripe bananas, cut in half lengthwise– 3-4 tablespoons honey, plus more for serving– vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)
Direction
1
Start with a 425-degree oven. Roll puff pastry into a 1/4-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
2
Place pastry on parchment-lined baking sheet. Score a 1-inch border around the edge with a sharp knife. Spread melted butter on the pastry and sprinkle cinnamon around the edges.
3
Leave a 1-inch border around the crust and evenly layer the chocolate. Cut-side-up bananas should be evenly placed over chocolate.
4
Drizzle honey on bananas. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the sides are rich golden brown and the bananas are caramelising. Dark edges are fine.
5
If desired, serve warm with honey and ice cream after cooling. Enjoy!
