Strawberry Bourbon Crisp Recipe

Strawberry Bourbon Crisp features strawberry jam, double maple butter cookie-crisp, and luscious strawberries. This simple fruit crisp is ideal for late spring and summer strawberries. Fruit is juicy and sweet. The topping has maple, brown butter, and the least brown sugar. Crisp and perfect with vanilla ice cream.

– 6 cups fresh or frozen strawberries, halved – 1/2 cup thick strawberry jam – 2 tablespoons maple syrup – 2 tablespoons cornstarch – 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon – 2-3 tablespoons bourbon – 2 teaspoons vanilla extract – TOPPING – 1 cup all purpose flour – 1/2 cup old fashioned oat – 2 tablespoons brown sugar – 1 teaspoon cinnamon  – 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt – 12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) cold salted butter, cubed – 4 tablespoons maple syrup

Heat the oven to 350°F. Mix strawberries, strawberry jam, maple, cornstarch, cinnamon, bourbon, and vanilla in a large basin.

Spread fruit in a 10-12" baking dish or cast iron pan. Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl for the topping.

Use a fork or pastry cutter to cut 8 tablespoons butter into the dry ingredients. On fruit, sprinkle. Bake 30 minutes under foil.

After baking, take the crisp from the foil and spread 4 tablespoons butter on top. Pour maple syrup on butter.

Bake another 20–30 minutes. For a crisper topping, broil for 1 minute. Serve with ice cream after cooling 20–30 minutes.
