Warmly spiced roasted nuts with rosemary and maple are a great snack or appetiser to serve guests.
– 4 cups raw nuts see note*– 3 Tbsp avocado oil or algae oil– 3 Tbsp pure maple syrup– 1 Tbsp coconut sugar optional– 1 Tbsp dried rosemary + more for serving– 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon– 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg optional– 1 tsp sea salt

Start with a 350-degree oven. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until nuts are coated.

One-layer nuts on a big baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes on centre rack. Remove from oven, mix well, and bake 5–10 minutes until nuts are golden brown and crispy.

Stir nuts well after removing from oven. Let nuts cool on the hot baking pan for 10 minutes. This crisps them.

When nuts are stored in a container that is airtight, they can be served or stored for a duration of two weeks.
