Indian Lentil Curry ( Dal Tadka) Recipe

Ingredient

– Dal – 1 cup split dal – 1 tbsp ghee – 1 tsp cumin seed – 1/4 tso asafoetida – 1 tsp green chilie – 1 tbsp ginger grated – 1 tbsp garlic minced – 1 cup onions diced – 3 whole tomatoes diced – 1 tsp salt to taste – 1/2 tsp turmeric ground – Tadka (tempering) – 1 tbsp ghee – 1 tsp cumin seed – 2 whole red chillies  – 1 tsp chilli powder – 1 tbsp cilantro leave

With 4 cups of water, boil the dal in a pressure cooker or on the stove.

Put ghee in a pan over low heat and add the cumin seeds and asafoetida. Let them pop.

Put in the garlic, onions, green peppers, and ginger. Fry until everything is cooked through.

Put in the curry powder, tomatoes, turmeric, salt, and pepper. To this mix, add cooked dal, salt to taste, and let it cook for 10 minutes.
