A delicious cookie with six simple ingredients would surprise you! Chewy pear cookies are easy to customise and make, making them repeatable.
INGREDIENT
– 2 ripe bananas mashed (⅔ cup)*– 1/4 cup (60ml) pure maple syrup– 2/3 cup (160g) unsweetened almond butter– 2 cups (200g) rolled oats– 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon– ½ tsp sea salt– 1 fresh pear peeled and choppedOptional Additions:– ¼ tsp ground nutmeg optional– ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment. Mash ripe bananas until creamy. Add pure maple syrup and creamy almond butter and mix.
Step 1
Melt cold almond butter in the microwave for 30-60 seconds until stirable. In the large bowl, mix oats, cinnamon, sea salt, and chopped pear into a thick, sticky dough.
Step 2
Put dough on cookie sheet. Make any size cookies—they won't spread much during baking. Making giant or small cookies, I like 12 medium to large ones.
Step 3
Cookies should bake on the centre rack of a preheated oven for 10–15 minutes, depending on size. I bake 20 small, medium, and large cookies for 10–12, 14–15, and 15–18 minutes, respectively.
Step 4
After cooling to room temperature, remove the pear cookies from the baking sheet with a spatula. Cool them for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve and enjoy!
