Chili Lime Grilled Shrimp Skewers Recipe
Prawn skewers prepared in a straightforward manner and grilled with a chilli lime coating that is both sweet and sour.
– 1/3 cup avocado oil
– 1/3 cup lime juice
– 2 Tbsp chili powder
– 2 cloves garlic minced
– 2 Tbsp Truvia Natural Sweetener*
– 1/2 tsp sea salt
– 1 to 2 lbs raw shrimp
For Serving (Optional):
– 2 to 4 Tbsp red onion chopped
– 1 to 2 Tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped

Mix avocado oil, lime juice, chilli powder, garlic, Truvia Natural Sweetener, and sea salt in a small bowl or measuring cup.

Pour half the marinade over raw prawns in a ziplock bag.Seal and shake the bag/container to coat all the prawns with marinade.

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to 8 hours). Preheat the grill on high (450–500 degrees F) and oil it before grilling.

Put the prawns on metal skewers (pre-soak wood skewers for 30 minutes before grilling).

Place the skewers on the prepared grill and cover immediately. Cook 2 minutes until prawns is pink and browned.

Replace the lid with heat-safe tongs after flipping the skewers. For 1–3 minutes, cook and blacken prawns on both sides. Grill prawns, then plate.

Heat remaining marinade in a small skillet on medium-high. Bring mixture to boil. Cook marinade 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

Brush or drizzle marinade/glaze on prawns. Add chopped red onion and parsley or cilantro. Select side dishes.
