Chili Lime Air Fryer Cod Recipe

A simple cod recipe for the air fryer that tastes like citrus, chili, and sugar. A simple main dish that is high in protein and great for weeknight meals.

INGREDIENT

– 1.5 lbs cod cut into 4 individual filet – ¼ cup avocado oil – Zest of 1 lime – 2 Tbsp lime juice – 2 cloves garlic minced – 2 tsp chili powder – 2 tsp dried oregano – ½ tsp sea salt to taste – ¼ tsp black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

After taking the cod out of the package, put it on a plate or cutting board. Soak up any extra water with paper towels. Note: The filets should not be frozen at all so that the fish cooks evenly.

Step 1

In a measuring cup or mixing bowl, mix the marinade ingredients together until they are well blended.

Step 2

Next, put the cod filets in a zip lock bag or some other container that can be closed up.

Step 3

Wrap the food in the bag or container and move it around in the marinade until it's all spread out.

Step 4

It can stay in the fridge for up to 10 hours or at least 30 minutes. Before you start cooking the cod, heat the air fryer up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Put the cod filets that have been marinated in the basket of the air fryer. The fish should be cooked for 8 to 12 minutes, or until it reaches 145 degrees F on the inside.

Step 6

How long it takes to cook will depend on how thick the filets are. You may need to cook the filets longer until they're as crispy as you like them to get a golden brown color.
