5-ingredient Peanut Butter Mug Cake Recipe
Single-serve dessert made in under five minutes! Mix it with your favorite ingredients to satisfy your sweet tooth next time.
INGREDIENT
– 3 Tbsp (24g) all-purpose flour packed and leveled*
– ¼ tsp baking powder
– 1 Tbsp (15ml) pure maple syrup**
– 2 Tbsp (30ml) creamy peanut butter
– 4 Tbsp (60ml) milk of choice***
– 1 tsp avocado oil optional
– Pinch sea salt
Optional Additions:
– 1 to 2 Tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chip
– ¼ tsp pure vanilla extract
– ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix all the ingredients in a microwave-safe mug (or small bowl or measuring cup) until a smooth cake batter forms and all the flour lumps dissolve.
Step 1
Everything should mix well, so no need to separate wet and dry ingredients. Sprinkle chocolate chips over cake batter if desired.
Step 2
Microwave on high for 60–75 seconds until the cake center sets. If the cake needs more time, add 8-15 seconds after 60 seconds.
Step 3
Dig in and enjoy! For a special treat, serve the mug cake with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream and milk.
